Good morning

It is unusually quite in the White house this morning. The kids are still sleeping even though we have school today. We were out later than we should have been. We went down to my parents house to see my brother Kyle who has decided being a Jarhead would be a good idea HA! I love teasing him. He just finished Marine Boot camp and was able to come home for 10 before going on to MCT (? i think that is what he said) He looks great and had some really funny stories to tell even though I'm sure they weren't all funny at the time. He gets to spend the next year or so in California lucky little shit!

I am going to be busy today getting us packed and ready for another fun filled dance weekend. This time we are going to be in Minnesota. we will be near the Mall of America so we will visit there and we are also on a mission to have a Juicy Lucy. A cheeseburger that I guess is AMAZING. We saw it on the Food Network and when we learned we would be near there we knew it was going to be somewhere we stopped. Collin who only thinks with his stomach cannot wait!! He is so excited to try this cheeseburger it better be worth it.

After this weekend we have a little time off before recital in the first part of June and then Nationals in Branson MO the last part of June. I am pretty sure we will blink and June will be over.

Kiddos are starting to still better get them moving. Sometimes I feel like I'm herding cats in the morning. Have a great day

Busy weekend

What a weekend. We left Altoona around 11:30 on Friday to go to Davenport for the Star Systems dance competition. We arrived with plenty of time to swim and play before bed. We were up and going the next morning around 7:30 Haileys first dance wasn't until noon but she is kinda pokey and she was super excited so she was wanted to get ready early. Her first dance of the day was Accessory's - this is a small group of 6 girls. They did really well and received High Gold, 1st in category and tied for 5th place over all. This means (for all of you non- dance speaking people) they did well but there is room for improvement. I was very proud of Hailey!! This is her very favorite dance. Next dance was at 5:00 it was Beauty Queens. They did well again receiving Gold, 1st in category and 5th over all. and last but not least was the 80's production receiving High Gold, 1st in category 2nd over all. It was a great weekend of dance! and we are looking forward to doing it again in MN this coming weekend. No rest for the wicked I guess....We got home Sunday afternoon in time for Collin to go to his soccer game. It was rainy and cold but those soccer people are nuts. I think we were all in bed asleep by 830 exhausted from a long weekend.

Just another day in Paradise

Tomorrow is my last day with the 2 students I have been working with since the fall. While I am sad to think that they will now be at the mercy of who ever the school can find to sub I know that this is what is best for me. I am ready to not be crabby after work everyday.

I also have done something to my shoulder. I'm not sure what but it hurts pretty much all the time. The doctor gave me some muscle relaxers and a few sessions of physcial therapy. Hopefully that will help. I took a muscle relaxer tonight it made me sleep for a while but now I am up and it still hurts. I start physcial therapy next week. I would have like to start sooner but Tricare is a very special kind of insurance ( note the Sarcasim) and I have to get it okayed first so here I sit suffering. I hope I start to feel better before this weekend we have another dance competetion.

Work

Have you ever met someone so unhappy in their own life that they make it they mission in life to make everyone else around them unhappy? This is the person I work for. I have been working at a school here in Altoona since sometime last fall. I have been having to work for an awful woman everyday and today I have had it. Tomorrow I will be going back to subbing where I am needed instead of in one place everyday. I really like the students and the rest of the staff but I can't come home upset and crabby everyday anymore. I am unable to do anything right it seems. Even the things that are working and helping the students I get told I have to stop and without any real reason. It is like if the idea isn't hers it is a bad idea. I don't understand people like her.

Ugh Mondays

What is it about Mondays? I think I dislike them so much because it never seems like we get a real weekend. they come way to soon and I always have tons of things I wanted to do but didn't get to. After I finished the dresser this weekend I had a candle party. I ordered some melty thingys that smell really good I can't wait to get them. Sunday was a busy day also. I started the day grilling chicken @ 9AM. strange huh? well it needed to be done and that was the only time when I knew I didn't have to be anywhere. then it was time to pick up the house and get ready for soccer and dance. Hailey played at 1 Collin at 215 and the the all girls team Joe coaches was at 340. We usually spend all day Sunday at the soccer fields somewhere in the area. Hailey also had dance at 2. The games all went well Collin scored an amazing goal! but sadly I was at the dance studio and missed it :( next time I guess.

Tonight I am home alone and it is great! I am usually at a "board meeting" on Monday nights but it was cancelled so here I am. I watched Army Wives (thank goodness for tivo) it was great can't wait until next week. And I did the dishes and now I am just being lazy.

The new dresser

The new dresser finally came. It was very heavy, thankgoodness the Fedx guy was nice enough to carry it into the the living room for me.

There sure are a lot of pieces to a dresser....who knew?

I wasn't sure I was up to this but I decided to go for it

After what seemed like forever and after entirely too many episodes of some show call "Jerseylicious" (which by the way is like watching a train wreck, you don't want to watch it but you can't stop looking) I got the dresser together!!! WoooHoo Go Me!!!

The First

Here is the first of what I am sure will be many posts. i am hoping that with this blog I will be able to keep friends and family informed while we get ready for and go through our 3rd deployment. Hopefully this will be our last deployment 3 in 7 years is a little much. This weekend is Drill weekend it seems like the closer we get to "D" day the more the army thinks they need to be away from home. Some of the things the Army does do not make any sense to me at all. On an up note we ordered Hailey new bedroom furniture and it should be here any time so I will be putting a dresser together this afernoon. Hopefully it is standing straight when I am done.
